Two 4 Tuesday: Watercolor Die-Cut Butterflies

Two for Tuesday features 2 projects that are similar in either color, theme, layout or embellishment but... with a different twist!

Hi everyone,

Today we're playing with lots of stuff and techniques. First, the butterflies. They're die-cut and embossed with Stampin' Up!'s Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die. Prior to die-cutting them, I rubbed my Old Olive and Taken With Teal Classic Ink pads across a heat-resistant craft sheet and spritzed the ink with water. This caused the ink to bead and mix. Then I laid a piece of Watercolor Paper over the ink to soak up the colors. The colors are quite vivid and fun.

For the background of my cards, I stamped the En Français and Woodgrain stamps with White Craft Ink to create fun backgrounds. Then I stamped an image from Kind & Caring Thoughts (a level 3 hostess stamp set) using Regal Rose and Old Olive markers to color the stamps.

That was so much fun to do. Each butterfly turned out different and I embellished them differently to give them character.

Have nice stampin' day! CeeCee
