Raggedy Ann Valentine's Day Card

Hi everyone,

Today's project was CASEd from SCS (a Kim Score project). The structure of the card is a pop-up slider card. It was a lot of fun to make, but quite tedious. Nevertheless, I love how it turned out.

Here's what it looks like when it's standing up, with the help of a nifty cardstock mechanism. You just pull on the little blinged out heart and it slides. The background paper was embossed with hearts. At the forefront, a Raggedy Ann doll made with punched shapes.

And the view when it's closed. It is designed to be same size as an A2 card.

The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!'s Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Choo choo

Hi everyone,

Remember that double scrapbook layout of baby Sara, base on the sketch # 83 from unscripted sketches ??

I used it again to create this one, I changed everything but the layout, here's what it now looks like:

I often forget about grey, but after using it here, I will definitively try to use it more often.

To change the layout a llittle, I simply rotated the second page.

This choo choo stamp set from Stampin' up! is so adorable, and most of all perfect for my layout!!

If you can read french...

Purr-fect for Valentine's Day !

Hi everyone,

I love making Valentine's Day card because it makes me reach for my reds and pinks which are two colors I don't really use all that often. Here's a card I made for a 3-year-old.

The stamp is a Penny Black on (Best Letter) that I have in my stash for over 5 years. It's cute and perfect for a little girl. I punched the heart with my Heart #1 die and my Big Shot... the stamped image peaks through the heart.

Of course, this type of card wouldn't be complete without a little bling... some Dazzling Diamonds for good measure! The image is colored with Copic Markers.

Bits and Pieces

Hi everyone,

Remember these pages from last week ?? Right after I finished them, I was left with extras 3X3 pieces of patternned paper and I decided to make something out of it right away.

Here's what I came up with :

A lovely set of birthday card using also some scrap of ribbon I had lying on my desk for quite a while now.

Repeating yourself is a good way to add more cards in your collection faster.

To add versatility I could also have change the sentiment, it is so simple and a lot less time consumming than coming up with 4 new layout!!

Here'ss the last one.

Iguana Love Valentine's Day Cards

Hi everyone,

Here's a few heart-shaped cards I made for a friend who's giving anonymous Valentine's Birthday Cards to her family. These ones are meant for two 13-year-old boys...

When I saw this stamp set by Stampendous, I knew they would be perfect for the occasion. It's humorous and not girly! Plus, they're reptiles... what 13-year-old boy doesn't pride himself on love these creatures?!

Those hearts were cut with a die from Sizzix -- Heart #1. I cut one red heart and one white heart for the back of the card. I scored the piece of white CS and glued the 2 hearts together, just above the fold line so it could open from the top.

I also added a few punched circles to create a background because there was too much red going on. Oh, how I love the sentiments on these!

Guess Who Loves you?

Hi everyone,

This card is almost entirely made with  my new Cricut Expression and the Hoot 'n Holler cartridge. I thought it would be simple to put together but there are a lot of layers to the owl and it was rather tedious. But I think it makes for a very fun card -- this one is intended for an 18-year old man :-)

If you look at the picture closely, you'll notice that I added Crystal Effects overt he owl... the problem is that the black of the eyes, made with a marker, smeared the color and made it muddy and brown-ish. Not happy about that but I spent so much time on the little owl that it will stay like that.

After all, a handmade card should not be perfect!

Summertime ??

Hi everyone,

Today I got inspired by Valerie Salmon over at got sketch, here's the layout she cooked for us this week:

Here's what I did with it:

I transformed it into a 2 pages layout

I used some new paper I treat myself with at new year, it's the Pixie-Licious collection from Cosmo Cricket

For those who can read french, here's the journaling:

I also used the chip board accents from the same collection and some pink glitter thickers alphabet.

I just can help but look at this cute little butt and smile !!

Mini Valentine's Cards

Hi everyone,

First of all I need to apologize for the lack of post yesterday -- both Gen and I weren't feeling well. It happens! But I hope I can redeem myself with today's project.

Who says Valentine's Day cards have to be red or pink?! I say bring on the Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive... especially if you're want to cater to the male gender :-)

If you remember my previous post, I showed you a little box I made with the intention of using it as a gift box. Well, now it turns out that I filled it up with 8 tiny Valentine's Day note cards. They are 3 X 3 and fit perfectly into my box... and with just 1 sheet of 12X12 Vanilla CS and some DSP scraps.

 These are the feminine ones...

and the playful, more masculine ones.

And here they all are. Abundance -- oooh, how I love that!

I love making mini cards -- the canvas is not so intimidating as a regular-sized card. I'm quite happy with how they turned out!

Have a nice stampin' day !!!
