Sparkly Fun Friday -- Glittery Smooching Technique

Sparkly Fun Fridays features a sparkly or glittery project using shimmer paints, embossing powders, glitters, rhinestones... anything shiny to welcome the weekend in a fun way!!!

Hi everyone,

Today's project involves a technique that is both fun and messy... but.... fun and... messy. It's the smooching technique to make colorful backgrounds. And when you add Irridescent Ice EP to it, you got one heck of a colorful and glittery background. I absolutely love it! Here's a close-up of it:

The way to achieve this result is to literally "smooch" drops of Craft ink inside a plastic page protector, then slipping 2 pieces of Glossy White Paper into it and then brayering over the plastic. When you open the page protector, you have 2 beautiful pieces of smooched up colored background. And since you use Craft ink, you can then emboss it with Iridescent Ice EP to make it glittery. Fun!

On this card, I used a new stamp set called Elements of Style that'll be available on May 1st from the Summer Mini Catalogue. The other sparkly element is the rhinestone eye on the bird.

I hope this card inspires you to create fun and colorful background paper. If you have any questions, feel free to leave us your questions in the comment section.

Have a nice glittery stampin' day! CeeCee
