Sweet Treat Thursday -- Chicken Coop !!

Sweet Treat Thursdays are all about food -- our other favorite topic -- and features ways to embellish/wrap/present something edible. CAUTION: May be hazardous to your waistline!
Hi everyone,

Peeps. Who doesn't love those cute little marshmallow treats ??? But the little box they come in is not a real home for those cute chicks, so I custom built them one : my very first chicken coop:
I have to say I had so much fun with this project... Let me show you a couple a the feature of this custom building... First problem to solve : the peeps looks toward the sky, but I wanted them to look thru the windox, hummmmm what about an angled floor, they won't mind for sure...On the next photo you can see the floor before I fold it in place.

Now with the flooring done you can see the angle in the back corner
Here are the chicks trying out their new home and looking in the right direction. Problem solved.
Second problem, we have to be able to "open" the chicken coop. I added a piece of CS with only adhesive on the end so that the window sheet could easily slide in place.
I scored the window sheet so that it would stay in place.
If you look closely you will see the window sheet sandwiched between the roof and the extra piece of CS. That's all no glue or anything it just slides in and stays in place (kindda magic I know :O).
To give them a better view, I had to put some feet to the house. A couple of buttons stack over one another with glue dots did the trick.
A little handle was necessary for travelling purposes, and also back and side windows just in case...
A satin celery ribbon, a couple of scallop borders and a little easter tag to complete the roof and voilà!!
Hope you are having as much fun looking as I had building it.
Have a nice stampin' day
Gen
just in case you do one, be sure to put your Peeps just before you give it away so that tey are still fresh and not dryed out.
