Sparkly Fun Friday -- Cupcakes !!

Sparkly Fun Fridays features a sparkly or glittery project using shimmer paints, embossing powders, glitters, rhinestones... anything shiny to welcome the weekend in a fun way!!!
Hi everyone,

As you can see I'm still playing with my Thoroughly Modern DSP. I had forgotten this beautiful stamp set, it's a level 3 hostess called the more the merrier, I found it hidding from me while doing some reorganization of my stamp sets. I only used 3 out of the 5 cupcakes on the stamp, don't forget that you can always use part of a stamp to better fit your need. Sometimes it's giving you a "almost" new stamp... And ohhhhhh how we love new stamps !!!

So I did sugar up my cupcakes with a little dazzling diamonds but if you take a closer look, you'll see (very hard to catch the real effect on a photo) that the soft suede layer is shimmering...I simply misted it with a mix of rubbing alcohol and champagne shimmer paint, so easy and so beautiful. The effect is even more accentuated on a textured cardstock but I already had cut my pieces when I though about "shimmerizing" it. I'll try to keep it in mind next time...

I added colors on the cupcakes with Soft Suede, Rose Red, Bermuda Bay and Sahara Sand classic inks and a blender pen on whisper white CS.

I thought it needed just a little more shimmer so I added those light cocoa glitter dots.

Have a nice stampin' day and a scrapalicious weekend!
