Hi everyone,
I'm so excited to give this die a shot... hehe, shot.... get it?! It's... a die for the Big Shot -- I made a funny! But seriously, Stampin' Up!'s Bigz Candy Wrapper die is just so much fun and I can see so many possibilities with that baby. And for sure, the fact that I can hide candies in there?! Bonus! I love everything that has to do with giving candies and chocolates.
Here's my very first (and not the last one) candy wrapper project:
It's so cute! My original idea for using this paper was a Halloween treat box since this retired DSP was last year's Halloween offering. But its black and white color scheme screamed elegant to me and I thought it was a perfect fit for my raspberry chocolates (yummmm!).
The box is easy to put together and requires only 1 strip of adhesive! The rest of the closure is made by folding along the score lines provided for by the die. I did secure each end with a ribbon just for decoration but you really don't have to if you follow the simple folding method. Below is a picture of the die:
And you don't need the long extended cutting mats -- it fits the standard ones. Although it's recommended to use the crease pad, I didn't and it worked beautifully.
Oh, can you say treats for Halloween, Christmas, New Year's, parties, dinners?! My mind is going crazy!
