Quickie Mini Monday -- Love Letter for a Friend

Quickie Mini Mondays feature a 10 minute-or-less project -- something fast, fun and easy to reproduce and mass produce.

Hi everyone,

I'm so enjoying Stampin' Up!'s new Designer Series Papers. This one is amongst my favorite: Love Letter DSP (#117162). With gorgeous paper like that, it's pretty easy to put together a beautiful card without too much fussing.

One of the papers in the pack has a repetitive pattern of a beautiful medallion so I decided to isolate it with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch (#119850). Then I stamped a sentiment from the Great Friend stamp set (#113792) with Basic Black Classic Ink (#101179) unto Very Vanilla Cardstock (#101650) and punched it out with the 1-3/8" Circle Punch (#119860). With the Circle Scissor Plus (#112530), I cut out a 2" circle out of Riding Hood Red Cardstock (#111348) to mat the DSP circle. Then whole thing is popped unto a Very Vanilla scallop circle made with the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Extra-Large Punch (#118874).

The card base is Very Vanilla, then I added a mat of Riding Hood Red Cardstock to the polka-dot paper from the Love Letter DSP. Of course, no card wouldn't be complete without ribbon or trim so I added a piece of the lovely Victoria 5/8" Crochet Trim (118481).

I've also added a tiny pearl from the Basic Pearls pack (#119247) to dot the "i" in the word friend. You can click on the picture to get a better close-up.

And in case you're wondering what all the pieces of rubber are doing on the 1st picture, that's from the set-up I had going for our first Weekly Quick Tip that went out to all our newsletter subscribers yesterday. If you're interested in receiving this and other informative emails with exclusive content, all you have to do is subscribe by typing your email address in the box found in the upper right-hand corner of this page.

Have a nice stampin' day! CeeCee
