Sweet Treat Thursday -- Belgian Chocolate, Anyone?

Sweet Treat Thursdays are all about food -- our other favorite topic -- and features ways to embellish/wrap/present something edible. CAUTION: May be hazardous to your waistline!

Hi everyone,

It's the choco-holic in me talking today. I had a craving for a little something-something and the best I could come up with today (because of lack of time) are those little nuggets of Belgian Chocolate Corn Flakes Nuggets. It's easy: just melt a batch of Belgian chocolate and mix with some crushed Corn Flakes. Spoon the mixture unto a non-stick sheet, let stand to cool... instant yumminess!

Of course, I like to share so I threw of few nuggets into medium-size clear cellophane bags (#102757) to give away as gifts. I dressed the bags up a bit by stamping a tiny tag from the Tiny Tags Stamp Set (#118592) unto Daffodil Delight CS (#119683) with Chocolate Chip Classic ink (#100908) and punched it out using the Jewelry Tag Medium Punch (#117190). I closed the bag with a piece of linen thread to which the tag is attached and topped it off with a piece of the brand new Daffodil Delight 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon.

The cello bag is then dropped into this cute little basket made with the Fancy Favor Bigz xl Die (#115965) for the Big Shot (#113439) using Baja Breeze Textured Cardstock (#119973). I've added a front and back decorative piece with the Greenhouse Gala DSP (#117167) and accented with Crystal Effects (#101055). The handles are 2 strips of Baja Breeze Textured Cardstock held together by brads.

Make yourself a batch of those chocolates, put your feet up and celebrate... Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians! CeeCee
