Sparkly Fun Friday -- A Beautiful Thing

Sparkly Fun Fridays features a sparkly or glittery project using shimmer paints, embossing powders, glitters, rhinestones... anything shiny to welcome the weekend in a fun way!!!

Hi everyone,

I've almost gone monochromatic today, until I reached for my favorite retiring color (sniff, sniff), Taken With Teal. I'll surely miss this color! And I'm thinking GREEN cuz summer's almost here.

Today's card is also proof that you don't need bling all over it to create an impact. I've concentrated the bling on my embellishment.

Oh, but how it shines! I've stamped the flower with VersaMark ink, then poured Heat & Stick Powder over it, heated it up just so it gets tacky and then poured Olive Cosmos Fine Glitter all over. Then I cute around the image leaving a small border for definition.

The card uses the French version a retiring stamp set, A Beautiful Thing. I randomly stamped another image from the set with Whisper White Craft ink, Certainly Celery and Taken With Teal Classic inks to create a background. The sentiment is stamped with Taken With Teal and I've added a few dashes of White Gel Pen to bring up the white in the center of the flower. Works for me! What do you think?

Have a nice stampin' day! CeeCee

Comme c'est beau! La sobriété du design est bien balancée par le "bling" Beau travail!
