Quickie Mini Monday -- Frosted Flowers and a Video Tutorial

Quickie Mini Mondays feature a 10 minute-or-less project -- something fast, fun and easy to reproduce and mass produce.

Hi everyone,

Last night, I was having flashbacks of my childhood Christmases when we had those frosted-looking  houses underneath the tree, all full of glittery goodness. They looked good enough to eat. And now they seem to be back in style -- I seem them all over the internet. I wanted to recreate that look with flowers so i did an experiment... and it worked! I call them my Frosted Flowers.

Aren't they pretty?! I'm sure there are a few ways to make those, but I came up with my own technique. It basically consists of mixing water and PVA glue (or whatever glue that dries clear), dunking your flower in the mixture and sprinkling it with glitter.

And when you add ink to the glue mixture, you get a colored frosted flower like this one above I made with Tempting Turquoise and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

And then I got to experiment some more, this time with colored glitter. The one above was made with Martha Stewart's Fire Opal Glitter. It's by far my favorite. All that glitter yumminess!!!

To find out how you to make those frosted flowers, you can watch the video below or directly on YouTube .

Have a nice stampin' day !!!
