Whatever Challenge Wednesdays features a challenge from the blogosphere, chosen randomly.
Hi everyone,
I was able to carve a little creative time out of my studio cleaning to play with 2 challenges:
1) Clean and Simple FTL #118 --
2) City Crafter Challenge Week 33 -- which was to come up with a Blue Christmas theme.
So I didn't exactly do a blue Christmas card but rather opted for a New Year's card.
The DSP is from the Christmas Carnival Collection from KaiserCraft. The rest is all Whisper White and Baja Breeze from Stampin' Up!
The sentiment comes from a Hero Arts stamp set I won at Jennifer McGuire's workshop last month, which I've embossed in white. The little snowflakes come from the same set and were embossed with Stampin' Up!'s Irridescent Ice EP. Love the effect. I also used my circle Nestabilities to die-cut the sentiment and the white mat.
The star of the card is without a doubt the little bling star from Prima.
Here's a tip for you: you see the ends of my ribbon bow? They're sharp and tidy. That's because I heated them up with my heat tool ever so gently right after I cut them with a pair of sharp scissors that I reserve strictly for ribbon. They will never fray and stay as sharp looking as this. Just be careful not to overheat!
Have a nice 1st of December stampin' day !!!
